Professional Kripalu Yoga teacher & Qigong teacher
Valerie has been teaching yoga and meditation since 2001. As an independent business owner, she created opportunities for outdoor yoga practice with thriving success in Massachusetts and Puerto Rico. She has received two Kripalu Diversity Grants bringing yoga to underserved populations in prison and in post trauma situations.
Her most recent professional trainings come from the Taoist spiritual practices of Qigong and meditation. She is a Professional Qigong instructor.
In addition, Valerie is a Kripalu Yoga Dance teacher, licensed massage therapist, traditional Thai bodyworker, and Albert Method Integrated Positional therapist. She is certified to teach Dynamic Gentle Yoga, Art & Yoga, and specializes in safe movement for osteoporosis. She is a living food enthusiast, educated by the Ann Wigmore program.
Valerie is an artist, activist and believes beautiful things can happen with a positive vibration. She can be found most mornings practicing on the beach.
